The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) is the national body responsible for regulating healthcare professionals in Australia, including Registered Nurses and Midwives. It ensures that all healthcare practitioners meet the required standards to deliver safe, high-quality care to the public. For international nurses, AHPRA plays a key role in assessing overseas qualifications and guiding the process for obtaining Australian nursing registration. This includes meeting eligibility requirements, completing the Outcomes-Based Assessment (OBA), and demonstrating English language proficiency. Successfully registering with AHPRA allows nurses to work in Australia as a Registered Nurse, unlocking rewarding career opportunities in the healthcare sector.
